The Omakase experience seated at the sushi bar was a nice surprise served by Paul, a sushi chef expert. Katami means “keepsake” and “token of remembrance”, and we certainly will remember our experience. 12-14 courses of individual sushi bites all very nicely decorated. Although it may not seem that one will fill up, it was impressive to find that everyone in our party of 4 was fully satisfied. Over 50 cold sake to choose from and 2 hot sake. Asahi Beer was very tasty paired with sushi and sake. We spent about 3-3.5 hours at the restaurant and were impressed, entertained and elegantly surprised at the sushi bar. We went on a Tuesday night which was not a crowded evening allowing for more interaction with the chef who provided an educational story on every dish served. Highly recommended. We felt the experience at $200 pp was quite reasonable and more so as we had a great time.

Sushi is fresh and delicious. It worth the price. Service can improve a little bit. I’m a Japanese restaurant service myself. I tip 22% this time but actually it only worth 18%. But will back next time see if other services is better. Great dinner anyway. Will definitely recommend especially the $99 sushi set is totally awesome!

My husband and I came to celebrate our wedding anniversary last night and had the absolute pleasure of having the best service and food we have had ANYWHERE! Our service was top notch, thanks to Phi. He was INCREDIBLY attentive, knew everything about everything on the menu, made incredible recommendations and took care of us so well. He even brought out a special anniversary dessert for us. As incredibly picky sushi eaters, everything here was a 10/10. We enjoyed every single minute at Katami. I cant say enough good things about this place and Phi made our experience that much better! We live kind of far, so it takes alot for us to come back to a place in the city. However, we will absolutely be back specifically to dine with Phi as our server. Amazing night!!! Finally was able to make it to Katami and it did NOT disappoint. We are big fans of Kata Robata so we had high expectations for Katami. The freshness of the fish was sensational; it's hard to put in words but it was amazing in every sense of the word. We sat at the bar so we were able to watch and converse with the staff; what a sight to see! Everyone was so courteous and more than willing to talk and discuss what fish they were working on. We went a la cart the whole evening and ended up spending about 3 hours. We were never rushed and our waitress was super friendly and had some great suggestions. Their plating is beautiful and on par with how amazing the flavors were! Highly Recommend this place; easily top 5 in Houston for sushi!

Crazy good! Love the freshness of the fish. We tried multiple Nigiris, sushi, and Japanese rice. It was delicious. Melts in your mouth. The price wasn't bad for the quality of the fish. The waiter did an excellent job explaining everything on the menu. He was very nice! I am definitely coming back for more. Love the location of the place.
